Church and Other News...

My kids are getting so big! Carter now goes to Primary and he hates it! He said so today on his way home, he wants to be playing at church like he used to. I am not sure how to get him to like it or what to do...

Carter, when he walks into a room he says, "Hi Mom/Dad It's me Carter." It is so funny, we have no idea why he says it or where he picked it up but it cracks us up! He and I went swimming yesterday as a Mommy-son date and he loved it! He loved and ate up all the personal, one on one attention from his Mommy. They have a nice big pool at our rec center that we just discovered. It has a small gym for kids with a slide and tunnel to play in. Then there is a HUGE slide for adults to go on and they let our kids go with us. Carter mostly wanted to go on that slide with me because it is really fast. I am sore from climbing the stairs so much! But it was worth it to see his joy! He is also no longer afraid to put his face in the water, yesterday he would swim around with it in the water constantly breathing out of his nose and mouth. He figured that out all by himself, he is so smart! He is becoming such a big boy.
Some of my favorite things about Carter at age 3 are:
The cute, random things that come out of his mouth (the other day I told him he has beautiful eyes and he goes, "They are big brown eyes Mom."
His cute little bum
His beautiful brown/green eyes and long eyelashes
He is so sweet and kind to his sister when he wants to be
He is a Mamma's boy!
Every night before bed he asks, "Will you sing me a song." One night he woke up at 2 a.m. and came to me and said, in his whispered voice, "Mom you forgot to sing me a song, you need to come and sing me back to sleep."
His energy
He loves to wrestle with his Daddy
He loves animals
He LOVES his Grandparents (all of them!)
He is so friendly
He shares his toys with everyone (except Whit)
He helps me cook and do the dishes
He LOVES to read with me and me only
He looks adorably handsome in his suit!
He pretends to be a puppy sometimes (Wilson is his name when he does that)
Every morning at 7 a.m. he comes to my room and wakes me up and says, (again whispered), "Mom can I watch cartoons."
He loves friends and he addresses all of them by saying, "Hey friend, do you want to come play with me."
He loves to hold hands with his friends
He calls his Daddy, "Jake", he used to call me Jaime too but I broke him of it and not he calls me Mommy. ;)
He is so precious!!!

Whitney is now in nursery and today was her actual first day going, she just went right in there and played. No fight, nothing, just like Carter. She says a LOT of words for an 18 month old. She started saying them really early, like at 13 months. She is amazing! Some of her words are, "Bye Bye", "night night", "HI","no" "mommy, daddy, carter, Jake", "nice" (we tell her to be nice a lot), "BB"(Binky), "yes", "poop, pee and poopy"(when she needs changed, "ouch", "food" and "eat" (of course! you can see it in her thighs), "Kiss", "help", "up" (when she wants to be picked up), "juice", "milk", "more", and there are so many more! We also all went to the pool the other day as a family and she LOVED the big slide! As I would climb the stairs to take her on it with me she would already be giggling. She also played a lot on the little gym with the slide all by herself, she mostly walked up and down the stairs and a few times went down the kiddy slide. One time she came down head first, it was really funny. But, she came down laughing. She loves to laugh and is constantly doing it, mostly she laughs at Carter or with him. She really adores her big brother. She is a huge drama queen and can scream and throw a fit like you wouldn't believe! She torments Carter so much too, always taking his sippy and toys away from him. Then she runs away laughing.
My favorite things about Whitney:
Her huge thighs! (rolls and all)
He BIG eyes! (they are also brown/green like Carter's)
Her independence (she won't let anyone feed her)
She loves to cuddle and give hugs and kisses
Her brattiness (I know that is mean of me to say but she is a brat most of the time and it cracks me up. I don't let her get away with it though so don't worry.)
She takes great naps for me
The fact that she LOVES to eat, anything and everything, it makes it so easy to feed her!
She is a big Daddy's girl!
She loves her big brother so much
She thinks it is funny to hit me and then giggle
She LOVES to jump in and wrestle with Carter and Jake anytime they are at it. It is really cute and funny! She has done it ever since she was 10 months old
She loves to dance anytime there is any kind of music on
Anytime Jake walks into a room she lights up and goes straight to him and lifts her arms to him to pick her up
She is so sweet!

Jake and I are also doing well, Jake is busy with his rotations still and I am busy being a Mother and wife. We don't get to go out together as much as we would like to but when we do go out we enjoy being together. Jake is a wonderful husband and takes great care of me! He is gentle and loving and kind and very thoughtful when he wants to be. He is also a wonderful Father, his babes respect him and look up to him. All the time we get to spend together as a family is cherished and so much fun! We have been very blessed! :)
